By now you have probably heard of rotator cuff or shoulder impingement syndromes.  Perhaps you may have been diagnosed with one of these, the most common causes of shoulder problems.

Most people will not remember a small trauma that happened a month or a year ago, yet one day they wake up and have shoulder discomfort.  The most common cause of shoulder problems is a small tear in the tendons of the rotator cuff.   When this tear does not heal, it leads to degeneration during which small nerves grow in to these areas and cause a problem which is called tendonosis. Complete or “full thickness” rotator cuff tears may need surgery but small tears and degenerative changes have been successfully treated with prolotherapy or Regenerative Injection Therapy.  In advanced cases or those that do not respond to standard solutions, Platelet Rich Plasma can be effectively used.

These and many other distressful shoulder issues can be treated with prolotherapy or RIT.   Call now to see how we can help you.
